Shikwamkwa Lake Outpost Camp is a newly renovated boat-to outpost cabin on 12-mile long Shiwamkwa Lake. The lake is a widening of the Shiwamkwa River so this lake constantly has fresh water flowing into it along with an endless supply of baitfish. As a result there is an abundance of Walleye, Northern Pike and Smallmouth Bass and the fish in this lake grow big and fat with all the food. The fishing in this lake is spectacular and you have the whole lake to yourself.
The cabin is located about 8 miles down river from the boat launch. The lake is long and narrow with the widest area being about ½ mile wide. The camp is located on an island created by the outflow of two rivers (fingers of the Shikwamkwa River) on either side that join to form the main river.
This cabin is all by itself and has a sand beach frontage. You can catch fish right off of the shore in front of the cabin. Throwing out a baited hook at night in front of the cabin and then relaxing around the fire has produced so huge Walleyes. The cabin has two bedrooms and sleeps six adults comfortably. The cabin has a beautiful big open concept front room with big windows looking out over the lake. The camp is equipped with propane refrigerator, stove and lights. It has pots and pans, dishes and cutlery. Pillows are provided with the beds or you can bring your own. You will need to bring a sleeping bag.
